Role
We are looking for a Web Scraping Engineer to build and maintain scalable data extraction systems and APIs that deliver clean, structured data for internal use.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web scraping scripts using Python (Requests, BeautifulSoup, Selenium, Scrapy).
- Build reliable and automated data extraction pipelines.
- Handle dynamic websites, authentication, and rate-limited environments.
- Clean, transform, and load extracted data in databases.
- Design and build REST APIs (FastAPI / Flask / Django).
- Optimize scraping workflows for performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with product and data teams.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Strong data handling and preprocessing skills using Pandas and NumPy.
- Experience with web scraping frameworks and tools.
- Good understanding of HTML, DOM, XPath, and CSS selectors.
- Experience building REST APIs.
- Working knowledge of SQL (MySQL / PostgreSQL) for data storage and querying.
- Familiarity with Git for version control.
- EHands-on experience with real-world scraping projects (GitHub or professional work) preferred.
Good to Have
- Experience with ETL pipelines.
- Strong Excel skills (data cleaning, pivot tables, formulas).
